OCTOBER 14TH RIDE/DRIVE & REPORT

OCTOBER is the month to drag out your European or British bike, dust it off, polish it up and come along to the GIRO GEELONG. We will be meeting at the clubrooms at 9.00am for a 9.30am departure to complete our lap of GEELONG  ending up in the historically ethnic area of GEELONG WEST for a morning tea, coffee and chat at PAKO RAW.           The ride should take about 1>1.5 hrs and all are welcome to come along even if you don’t have a European bike, but if you do, please bring it for a bit of a display. Hope to see you there. Mal

About 25 riders gathered at the clubrooms for the Giro Geelong ride, 18 of whom were on European or British bikes which was very pleasing. There were also a few ring ins of other brands but that was also good to see our members who don’t have the above bikes turn up for the ride. We covered about 100 klm before finishing for a coffee at Pako Rawe. Unfortunately we lost half the field of riders during the ride due to corner markers leaving before the tail rider came along, but a quick phone call and we met up at the finish, all good but a few extra klms for some.
