Red Plate Monday Ride Report 19-5-25
Today’s Red Plate ride was under beautiful blue sunny skies however there was quite a chill in the air when riding.
When I asked for suggestions for a destination Guzzi Phil came up with the Great Ocean Road Chocolaterie near Anglesea which received unanimous support.
With 24 riders and 1 sidecar passenger we had quite an assortment of machinery (see photos) and everyone is welcomed no matter what size or type of bike so long as it wears a red plate.
Magoo arrived on his Cezeta 175cc scooter complete with trailer having completed the Gentlemen’s Charity ride at the weekend.
Guzzi Phil having chosen our destination agreed to lead the ride which headed up Barrabool Road to our usual regroup site at Ceres, where Magoo left us, continuing along the Barrabool Hills, crossing the Princes Highway and out around the back of Moriac onto Forest Road following that to the end right near our Chocolate shop.
We ordered our coffees and desserts which were huge, my scone was the size of a small loaf of bread with an abundance of jam and cream.
I believe we were all pretty impressed with this place and expect we will return before too long. Another great ride.
