A magnificent Monday graced us with perfect riding weather as 23 enthusiastic members of The Sporting Motorcycle Club gathered at the Barrabool Rd meeting point for another memorable Red Plate ride.
The air was crisp but the sun was shining, setting the stage for an excellent day on two wheels.
The Group extended a warm welcome back to Mal, whose presence on these rides is always valued, and it was great to see him back in the saddle.
Today’s adventure, expertly led by Guy, took us on a scenic journey out through Ceres and then after regrouping on out into the picturesque Golden Plains, which is looking refreshed after recent rain.
The winding roads and open stretches offered ample opportunity to enjoy the performance of our machines and the breathtaking rural landscapes.
Our destination was the charming Anakie General Store, a popular stop known for its friendly atmosphere, good coffee and delicious snacks..
The weather, a crucial element for any motorcycle ride, held out beautifully throughout the morning. We were treated to clear skies, crisp temperatures & no rain, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone.
Bringing up the rear, and ensuring the safety and cohesion of our group, was our reliable tail rider, Stan. His watchful eye and experience are invaluable.
Overall, it was a fantastic day of riding, friendship, and we look forward to many more Red Plate Monday Rides in the future, so dust off your Red Plate Machine and come along for an enjoyable ride (or Drive) with mates, Cheers.
