On Sunday, a small group of four riders set out on a pleasant ride to the Old Workshop at Anakie.

They rode through Ceres, Batesford, and Sutherlands Creek, before reaching the Bacchus Marsh Road and returning back to Anakie via Granite Road.

Allan Walker.

The Club received the very sad news this morning that our Dear friend, and dedicated SMCC member, Allan Walker has passed away after a long and courageous battle with illness.

Allan was a beloved member of the Sporting Motorcycle Club and a true friend to all who knew him.

Allan was always the first to lend a helping hand, whether it helping with a breakdown or offering a listening ear & advice or to help organise club events.

Allan was a passionate rider & motorcycle enthusiast and loved nothing more than hitting the open road with his friends rain, hail or shine.

Allan will be sorely missed by all who knew him. He was a true friend, a great person to be around, and a joy to know. We will always cherish the times & rides we were lucky enough to have had with Allan and memories we have of him.

Ride on Allan.

Red plate Monday ride report 20/11/23.

14 riders met up this morning for a Red Plate ride to the Pier St cafe / restaurant in Portarlington. The weather was perfect for a ride, with clear skies and warm temperatures.

The riders enjoyed a scenic ride down through the Bellarine Peninsula, and they arrived at the cafe in good spirits. The riders enjoyed the coffee and treats then had some time for relaxing and chatting before heading back home.

Brian O’Connor set a new fashion statement by tucking one trouser leg in and the other out. This new look was met with mixed reactions from the other riders, but it certainly got people talking!

2023 AGM Report

Wow what a great Annual General Meeting last night, and a perfect way to launch the new clubrooms. Thanks to Bott for the great BBQ, and thanks Bernie for filling in for Beak in his absences.

Congrats to everyone who was elected to a committee position, and thank you for your ongoing commitment to help and support the Club.
