The Sporting Motorcycle Club is hosting its popular 4th Sunday Ride, offering riders a thrilling combination of dirt and road adventures this coming Sunday 23rd.
The ride will take riders to the charming town of Forrest, with two distinct options to cater to different riding disciplines.
For those seeking an adrenaline-pumping off-road experience, Beak will lead the way on a bush adventure ride to Forrest. This challenging route promises to take riders through semi rugged terrain, testing their skills and offering breathtaking natural vistas of the Otways.
Alternatively, for those who prefer a scenic coastal journey, Jumbo will guide riders along the iconic Great Ocean Road. This route will showcase the stunning coastline, passing through picturesque towns like Lorne and Skenes Creek before meeting up with the dirt riders in Forrest.
Both groups are expected to arrive in Forrest around midday, where they can enjoy a well-deserved break with refreshments, food, and the opportunity to socialise with fellow riders. The ride will conclude with a leisurely return journey into Geelong..
Riders are to meet at the Bellarine St club rooms at 9:00 am for a 9:30 am departure. The weather forecast predicts a fresh start to the day, but with the sun expected to emerge and temperatures reaching a comfortable 14 C, it promises to be perfect riding weather.
So dust off that bike, pull on your thermals, Spread the word and hope to see you there.

This months ride takes us to the Ceres Distilling Company, a distillery owned and operated by one of our members Ross Johnston. Ross has kindly offered to open the doors early for us and is happy to supply a coffee and bikkies during which time he will give a brief talk on the processes involved in his chosen industry. If you haven’t been there before it is quite an eye opener and well worth a visit for any of your up coming social events.
We will be having a short ride of about an hour around the Bellarine Peninsula, leaving from the clubrooms at 9.30 finishing around 10.30 at 38/8 Lewalan St Grovedale for anyone wishing to attend.
