
The Sporting Motorcycle Club is officially recognised by VicRoads, so can offer our members participation in the VicRoads Club Permits Scheme (also known as the Red Plate System).
This is a program that allows members limited registration & non-commercial use of historic vehicles, (including cars, motorcycles, trucks and even tractors) on the road network.
The vehicle must be at least 25 years old and meet various other conditions and criteria.

The Sporting Motorcycle Club has red plate outings and social runs, activities to various locations throughout the year & are always well attended by our club members.

The Club has three members that have volunteered there time to be official Scrutineers for vehicle inspections during the initial process of obtaining a club permit, vehicles need to be taken to one of the scrutineers to be inspected with details being recorded for official club records, the current club scrutineers (and contact numbers are) are:-

As mentioned the club scrutineers are volunteers, so please work in with their schedules.
If you are wanting to renew your existing vehicles Club Permit, you can either bring along your VicRoads Club Permit renewal form to one of our meetings, or alternatively you can mail the renewal to:-

Your Club Permit renewal can be processed on the spot at our meetings.
Club meetings, which kick off at 7.30pm on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month at our clubrooms at 313 Bellarine St, South Geelong.
