1st meeting of the month – Tuesday 09/04/24
Hi Everyone,
A reminder that our 1st meeting of the month is on Tuesday night 09/04/24 at our South Geelong Clubrooms @ 7:30pm.
313 Bellarine St South Geelong. https://maps.app.goo.gl/jvc8AsLdxhWb3NYk6
In the absence of our resident Chef Bott, Guy is stepping up to get the hungry members feed.
I’ve been told that Guy is organising a ute load of Geelong’s finest Pizzas, so definitely a meeting not to be missed.
So come along for a great feed, get your permits & memberships renewed while catching up with mates & also being in the drawer for the lucky member door prize, which has jackpotted from last meeting.

Monday 25th – upcoming Red Plate Ride
A group decision was made at the most recent Red Plate Monday ride to have an “old & small bike” themed ride for this following Monday’s ride 25th March.
This shorter ride, with a maximum speed of 85 km/h, to accommodate the older machines (and riders!).
The ride will originate from the normal Barrabool Rd meeting point and will be led by John Pierce, the planned route is to venture out through the picturesque Maude Valley before concluding in Lethbridge.
Dust off that old (or small) red plate machine and come along to enjoy a great low stress cruise out through the Golden Plains. Hope to see you there.

What a great night.
What a great night last night with Special Guest Speakers Brian Rix & Shirley Hardy-Rix enthralling tails of their worldwide motorcycling adventures.
With more than 50 members & Guests in attendance at our South Geelong Clubrooms.
Brian & Shirley, with their infectious enthusiasm and witty storytelling, regaled the audience with tales of the open road, challenging terrains, and heartwarming encounters.
From navigating the rugged landscapes of the Himalayas to the bustling streets of Southeast Asia, they shared their experiences with a touch of humour and a deep appreciation for the freedom of motorcycling.
The event concluded with a lively Q&A session, where Brian and Shirley engaged with the audience, answering questions about their favourite routes, travel tips, and the lessons they have learned along the way
A very big thanks to Brian & Shirley for taking the time to come to the SMCC last night, thank you to Rodney McFadden for helping organise the night, Thanks to Bot and his BBQ for feeding the assembled, no one went home hungry.
Hope to see you at the next one ![]()
