What a fantastic night last night, from the food, to the company & atmosphere, a great reflection on how the club is travelling, just real good fun & a great place to be to spend time with a bunch of top people.
All committee positions were declared vacant, an election was called & voted on last night, with all committee positions being successfully filled.
Special thanks Mal for the years of amazing dedication to the Red Plate cause, you have personally helped countless members of our club get their bikes (and other vehicles) over the line and back on the road, something our members are no doubt thankful of every time they pull out of their driveways and hit the road on their Red Plate machines ![]()
Thanks Ross for your service to the Club as membership secretary you’ve done a stellar job, it is a relentless position which is vital to the survival & smooth running of the club and you’ve conducted the position flawlessly.
I’m sure the position is now in safe hands as you hand the baton over to Dave Jordan, Thanks Dave for stepping up to fill the position.
Thanks Guy for organising the Delicious Pizzas from our new favourite Pizza shop Eastside Pizza & Pasta , they were great, everyone had a great feed.
The Lucky Member Door prize was held and Allen Trevena taking away the prize, Well done Al.

The Club has been lucky enough to secure a special Guest Speaker for our 2nd meeting of the month in November.
Christopher Hurren who is the Senior Research Fellow & Chief Scientist for the MotoCAP Project at Deakin University Waurn Ponds.
Chris’s world leading & extensive research in the field of motorcycle protective clothing has seen the development of the testing protocol for the motorcycle clothing assessment program MotoCap (www.motocap.com.au).
Chris has been very generous in offering to attend the Club’s 2nd Meeting in November (26/11) and conduct a presentation on the Motocap Projects testing & research into effectiveness & importance of Motorcycle Protective clothing.
Chris’s presentation is set to be a real eye opener on the science behind safety features and testing that goes into the gear that we all wear (or should wear) while pursuing our passion of Motorcycling.
Mark this in on your calendar now, one definitely not to be missed.
See you at the meeting on the 26th of November, doors open 7pm

All members are invited along to the SMCC Annual General Meeting on 12/11/24 for the election of office bearers and officials.
All positions will be declared vacant on the night & elections will be held to fill committee positions.
So if anyone is thinking of helping the club out please put your hand up.
Remember this is a member based club, run by members for our members.
Hope to see a good member turnout on the night and to fill all positions.
To help celebrate another successful year of the SMCC the club will be firing up the BBQ, which is always guaranteed to be a delight.
